This session presents the experience of the 2013-14 NEHA Sabbatical Exchange Program winner in Canada. The undergraduate educational system in Canada for sanitarians/public health inspectors was studied with an eye towards curriculum development, incorporating lab and field work, internship experiences, and relationships with the external professional community and professional associations. Ideas were shared and best practices explored for development of the new environmental health sciences program at Kent State University in Kent, OH.
