The "Be a Voice" initiative gives you the opportunity to tell us what you'd like to experience at the AEC. Tell us topics you'd like to hear about and speakers you'd like to see. View submitted abstracts and provide feedback on them. Safe as Houses? Are your clients' or patients' home making them ill? (50m Lecture)


The link between ill health and housing has been established for many centuries. This paper describes innovative work being undertaken in the British Channel islands to address housing disrepair through an inter-agency approach. The cost savings to the Health service will be demonstrated.
 
Session Description/Teaser: Safe as Houses? Your home should be a place of refuge, a place to be safe and a place to relax. To often it is a place to be hurt, a place to make you ill and a place to die. How can we effect changes in a time of austerity?
